In the second expansion of Guild Wars, the story takes players on the hunt for Balthazar. This evil rogue god has decimated the earth and threatens to destroy the whole continent of Tyria. Players travel to an ancient land of the Crystal Desert.
In this expansion, the once divided races of Tyria join forces against a common enemy and put their seemingly pathetic quarrels aside. The new maps are enormous, and they offer a lot of quality content. This is not a linear desert with dull wastelands. There are a ton of exciting details, crystals, toxic areas, and new biomes.
The new mounts are amazing, and they really bring a new feel to the gameplay. It appears that a lot of work has been put into them as they work flawlessly. New masteries are introduced for a reason; all of them revolve around mounts.
In the previous expansion, masteries were designed around factions, but now they expand onto mounts. Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire counties on the same track and brings a lot of new developments into the world of Guild Wars.
Both PvE and PvP gameplay have also changed and introduced new tricks that players will enjoy experimenting with.
