Qihoo 360 Total Security is a Chinese based antivirus software, which aims to keep internet users safe from much of the harmful content now online. The software has had its ups and downs over the years, but does manage to provide a basic level of protection for those which have nothing else.
Pros
Though the software is somewhat basic, Qihoo 360 offers an easy to use interface with some helpful features. Users can easily download and install the software which essentially sets itself up.
When users activate the Bitdefender and Avira AntiVir antivirus engines, the software’s defensive capabilities really kick in. The two external engines do a decent job of catching the content which has infected users internal and external devices. Malware, worms, and viruses are found much quicker when the two engines are running, which is done by activating the software’s Security protection mode.
Cons
Qihoo 360 struggles to block many URLs containing malware and other such harmful material. With so many online threats coming through fraudulent URLs, it is hard to justify an antivirus software which can’t meet the basic needs of such a product.
Additionally, Qihoo 360 dramatically slows the boot processes of devices, as well as the overall performance. Users are then faced with a device which has a level of performance far less than its original capabilities.
